Twelve Years of Traces
Founded in 2014, Baltimore Traces: Communities in Transition began as an interdisciplinary and collaborative project that bought together UMBC classes from a variety of disciplines to create cultural documentation projects focused on Baltimore neighborhoods. The central research question of the project is:
How do city neighborhoods change, and more centrally, how do the people who live and work in those neighborhoods feel about those changes?
This zine is a retrospective including a sampling of the more than 30 cultural documentation projects over the past dozen plus years.
